yea, sorry about not being clear.  

i would be grateful if someone would please tell me step by step how to install a new theme from the gallery on my ipod (video).

Youll download the pack, it will have a main folder, it will have three main folders inside -> theme, wps, backdrops.  You extract those three folders into the drive\.rockbox\ folder of your ipod.  It will tell you about overwriting - click Accept all or whatever the ok button is.  Your new theme is installed.

Also dont forget to get the font pack in the wiki

great thanks a lot! i have another question though...when trying to download julius' blackglass pack, there is no folder but instead a tar.gz file.  how do i install this format?

Many archive applications support the tar.gz format.  It's just another file compression format, from what I understand.  WinRAR should be able to "unzip/uncompress" this file.  You can download it and extract everything to the root of your iPod.  As stated above, overwriting is a good thing.
