Signal generator plugin?
« on: February 21, 2007, 09:12:12 AM »
I had a look at the plugin page in the wiki, hunting for a signal generator but found none. I'd just like something that can output a constant sine wave adjustable frequency.
Has anyone seen anything like this?

As far as I know, nothing like this currently exists.  Though some time ago, I did try to bribe preglow (with beer) to write a plugin like this.

I think that a certain developer (not Preglow) is working on the bits that would be necessary for this (though in a more complex/flexible form).

But don't quote me.

there is a plugin (test_sampr.c):
it plays different signals (sinus, triangle,...) with adjustable frequencies

I assume I have to compile test_sampr.c and copy the resulting .rock file to my iriver..
Is it difficult? Where do I go?

yes, you have to compile it.
- open the file [rockbox_dir]/apps/plugins/SOURCES
- add the entry "test_sampr.c" into the file
- compile rockbox and you will find a test_sampr.rock in your build directory
