Some general Gigabeat install questions.

Phalangees:
Maybe my faster boot zip wasn't such a good idea.... looks like it's causing problems if people aren't reading the readme. That GBSYSTEM folder is not meant to be all the rockbox files he needs, it just replaces the orinal firmware files that the bios checks with empty/nearly empty files. There is no FWIMG01.DAT included in my zip because that is occasionaly updated and it was already on that wiki.

I apologize. If someone agrees that I made a mistake by posting the GBSYSTEM on the wiki please take it off. I don't have the access to. Would it be a better idea to make a new wiki page for faster gigabeat boot?

Nate!:
Phalangees:  I think your zip is good.  I put instructions to extract the zip within that zip to the right place, and also to download the bootloader at the bottom of the same wiki.  Not sure where the disconnect is actually.

I personally use your faster boot setup.  So definately leave it up there.  Thanks.

Phalangees:
ok. Just make sure you have a backup of your origianl firmware otherwise, if dual boot is ever supported, you won't be able to.

Nate!:
oh, definately.  I've got two or three copies, plus the original cd.  I'm straight.  But, it's great advice for the new people that take the leap.

legion:
yup, ive decided---im gonna throw the damn thing off the balcony!!!!!!!!!!

i cant get rockbox to work --- but i found my original installation cd, so i figured i would get it back to normal with the gigabeat room and those bullshit .sat files -- and now i cant even get that to work -- still says "no system found on hdd" .
