Rockbox compiling error, arm-elf-gcc apperently missing
« on: February 20, 2007, 02:46:49 AM »
Just set up my cygwin compiler environment, following http://www.rockbox.org/twiki/bin/view/Main/CygwinInstallWithScreenShots

When i had "maken the makefile" and ran "make" in rockbox/build, it looked like the attached jpg.
(It was the second time i tried to compile, that is the reason to all the up-to-date's)

It looks pretty much like i've misssed arm-elf-gcc, just wanna be sure because i think i followed the wiki 100%.

you're missing arm-elf-gcc (and most likely the other parts of the compiler toolchain also). Either you didn't install it or it's missing from the path variable.

Btw, why don't you use the vmware image? It has everything already set up.

First of all thanks for the reply :)
I use cygwin because it's file system is located on my harddrive as NTFS, not as a virtual disk file. That makes everything easier.

AND i used http://www.rockbox.org/twiki/bin/view/Main/SimpleGuideToCompiling as guide, which requires cygwin.
