I used the manual for my 30 GB iPod, and I'm pretty sure I did things as they were said. But when I disconnect my iPod & restart it, this appears:

Rockbox boot loader
Version:20r12194-070204
IPOD version: 0xFFFFFFFF
TOSHIBA MK3008GAL
Partition 1: 0x0B 28537 MB
Loading Rockbox...
Error!
Can't load rockbox.ipod:
File not found
Press MENU+SELECT to reboot
then SELECT+PLAY for disk mode

help...?

You skipped, or didn't follow *exactly* the instructions in 2.2.2

I'm getting the same error. I believe I followed 2.2.2 exactly, but obviously not. The file goes in the \rockbox folder, right? Not in \rockbox\.rockbox?

I suppose I'll try both.
