Proof of recording through teh headphone jak.

<< < (2/2)

saratoga:
Well this pretty much proves that you can't record through the headphone jack.

However, its pretty clear that theres some sort of ADC circuitry at work, so there must be at least an ADC on the Nano as we suspected.  Question now is if its wired up to anything, of it theres just a 4.7k pull down resistor to group that audio is being coupled into via a ground loop.  Anyone tried the line in connector on the dock?

Wow. That kid is determined to ignore advise from all the "noobs" here ::)
Go ahead Axlgrease... destroy your player's circuitry. It's all in the name of progress and learning through your own error, I suppose.

If it helps (and if it stops you persisting)... I would guess at a very very VERY badly played rendition of smells like teen spirit.

axlgreasetires:
You were correct about the very bad rendition of smells like teen spirit.  Normally i would have played better but i was trying to have the loudest output possible so i kind of screwed up some shiznit.

I read the wikipedia article.  I suppose that it could possibly be crosstalk.  I've already gotten an ipod replaced by apple for 30 bucks because i fried the graphics card thing or whatever.  if i fry the soundcard i will be able to get it replaced.

But I still find it interesting that im recording even if the cause is "Crosstalk".

And to all the noobs here that don't really care about the thoughts of the consumers - Farewell

LOCKED.
