ipod knockoffs
« on: February 19, 2007, 12:48:04 PM »
I picked up a couple of ipod nano knockoffs in China last month.
While they worked fine on their pc's and they said they would work on a mac, my mac says the disks are unreadable and I have to initialize them when I plug them into my mac!
There was basically no documentation with them and all I can tell you is they have a 4 gig toshiba hard drive in them and a host.exe file and an autorun.inf file.

The firmware says:

MP3 Player
LS501
CM600019
2006/12/05
ACT_V3.5.37

I was hoping I could just wipe the disks and use rockbox but I don't know what build to use!
Can anyone help me?

You cannot use Rockbox with unsupported hardware.
