(New theme) Rockbox Forums on WPS ??

Wow! New feature on Rockbox? Now we can access internet with Rockboxed iPod  

No, this is a new theme I did reproducing the Rockbox Forums layout. For those who are addicted to Rockbox Forums.

The link icons represents the player status and modes.

The progress bar is not really a bar, but the word "ROCKBOX" being write in loop on a field.

The volume and battery has graphical modes too.

The browse backdrop is based on a topic layout.

I forgot the "position/playlist" info, but I'll include [EDIT] Done

There's nothing much to say. Just a funny and "weird" theme again.

I'm in doubt with the title "System" I used in volume and battery field. Please, post any suggestions.

PS: Don't forget to Login! Just open .wps file with text editor, replacing PHK by your name.

PS2: Believe it or not, I did all my themes without a simulator. So is hard and distressing testing and correcting right on iPod. Could anybody help me with some simulator infos, please?

Regarding the simulator, what info do you need?

If you want pre-built simulators for windows (no patches applied), check out rasher's site:

http://rasher.dk/rockbox/simulator/

Otherwise, you'll have to compile your own...

Wow! Simulator is really so easy. I can't believe I never used it before...

I must be spent a least 20 battery cycles doing my themes . Thank you bascule.

@evilg123, maybe I will need to use patches on sim (Margin scrolling, Album Artwork). I don't have the minimun idea how to compile... Is hard to do?


I'll upload this theme to gallery later. And now, with the simulator, I'll can do nano versions too!

Well, it took me a while (2-3days) to learn how to compile and like a week to learn how to apply the proper patches I wanted. Plus cygwin is a really slow program but Vmware needs like 2 gigs of diskspace (upside is it's ultra fast compared to cygwin so I recommend VMware).

 If you want you can download the sim I use to fiddle with wps's, it has the Album Art (no bmp resize) and scrolling margins patches, I think I used SVN from Feb 4 so it's sort of recent, but should serve your purposes for making WPS's.

I'll assume you either use Cygwin to run the sim or that you have SDL.dll in your windows directory already. Hope these work for you
P.S. Had to use Cygwin to get that to compile took forever!

as i said before YOUR THEMES ARE THE BEST THEMES FOUND IN ROCKBOX.
they are clan, light and very very visible.
