TXT file viewer - missing accelerated scrolling
« on: February 17, 2007, 12:45:17 PM »
I upgraded to the latest rockbox version 070216 yesterday, and I enjoy the improvements.  However, I noticed that the accelerated scrolling in a TXT file no longer exists (or maybe is somehow disabled).  I remember being able to do this in my previous version (I am not sure exactly which one it was).

For example, when I read a book and I open another file, the bookmark gets erased (which is annoying), I would then go back to my book and scroll (with acceleration) back to my place in the book.  The problem is: now when I scroll there is no acceleration and it goes page by page at a constant rate so it takes many minutes (upwards of 5 min. depending on the book length) to find my place again!

I love reading books while listening to music when I ride the metro and I hope this feature comes back soon!
