iPod getting back to music list?

Sorry guys, I can't figure out how to get back to the music list.  My search queries arent very helpful and I can't find it in the manual.  How can I get back to the music in the database that I have?  When I start the player I can select the first song, after that I can't figure out how to change it.

Tap the select button to get back to the list without stopping playback, hold Play/Pause to stop playback and go back to the list. Either one is a way to do it, since you didn't specify which exactly you wanted.
