on+play and Gigabeat

I'm a little confused about "on+play."  I'm guessing that this means "press the on button and the play button at the same time".  If this is correct, the gigabeat's buttons make this operation pretty difficult.  Pressing the center of that plus is a bit tricky, and one needs two hands to press play and the power button.  Is this correct?  If so, is there a workaround or patch that changes this mapping?

What screen are you talking about? What exactly are you trying to use On+Play to do?

Also, "Play" and "Select" are two different actions. Play is on most players considered the action that resumes or pauses playback.

I want to use On+Play to delete a bookmark, from the "recent bookmarks" menu.  Play and Pause, on the Gigabeat, is the center of the cross.
