Provided they are tagged correctly, then yes.

Bear in mind that iTunes can use it's own tag database on your PC and therefore the files themselves may not be correctly tagged :P

You will just have to try it!

been 10 minutes, does it notify you when the initializing is done?

didnt seem to work, but that's alright i guess, since i can still dual boot. thanks for your help bro.

If by menu, you mean file browser, then no. there is no 'Main' or 'Root' menu, only the File Browser or the Menu.
The iPod has to be put into Database file view in order to use the Database functionality

How have you determined that?

I suspect it the first problem mentioned above that is the problem here. As for dual-booting, do you actually want Rockbox or not? Apart from video playback, Rockbox walks all over the OF, for those willing to learn how to operate it

Not *quite* true - you can go into :

Info -> Debug -> View Database Info

There you can watch the database being built. Once Progress gets to 99% you can be pretty sure it's ready to use (I've never seen it display 100% in there before you ask - don't ask me why).
