Stuck on recording screen at startup

hello all. i am new to rockbox and noticed a couple things id share with you all.

Everytime I turn my player on it goes to the recording screen. It does this even if I did not record right before turning it off. It is very annoying because if I was listening to something and then stopped it and let the player shut down, then later started the player back up, it takes me to the recording screen and I have to go back to the main menu and then it allows me to resume.

i have version 070120-0649

is there a newer version that has this problem fixed?

another problem i noticed is that if i let my player die completely, i cant plug it into the USB port to charge. This was not a problem before with the original iriver firmware. Has that been fixed in a later version?

It would help if you told us which player you had ?

Have you tried resetting it back to the default rockbox settings ?

it is not permanently stuck on the recording screen. once started up, i can move to other menus. its just that it always goes to the recording screen on startup. you think resetting it is going to fix that? i have a feeling its something in the code... ill try though.

Show recording screen on startup:
If set to yes, the player will start up with the recording screen showing.
