H10 semi HDD failure happens sometimes
(1/1)
BNary:
Sometimes, my H10 stops playing music, and then it can't read files. Like a HDD failure or something like that.
For example, when I try to play a music file, I get a "Can't load codec" message.
When that happens, I'm pulling out the battery and replacing it and then it works.
What can it be a problem of?
P.S. Is there any guitar-tuner plugin for Rockbox using the built-in microphone?
Llorean:
What SVN revision are you using, and is it an official build?
Also, please read the POSTING IN THIS FORUM in a section _before_ posting in it. You originally posted this in the 'Installation' forum.
BNary:
I'm using this build: (Angryman's SVN 2007-02-10)
http://misticriver.net/showthread.php?t=46843
It's not an official build...
My bootloader is the official one.
BTW I didn't know in which forum to post that thread.. Because it's a H10 HW problem I thought it's most suitable to the iriver forums :S
Sorry anyway..
Another BTW - Is there any SDK for Rockbox plugins development?
Llorean:
The "iRiver" forums say specifically that they are ONLY for installation.
There is a Hardware forum if you think it's hardware specific. We created the POSTING IN THIS FORUM posts to help you figure out which forum to post in, but it's somewhat clear you didn't read it, because in the iRiver one it says exactly when NOT to post there as well.
Also, if you cannot reproduce a bug in an official build, report it to the person who makes the custom build. It is entirely possible the problem happens because of a patch in your build.
BNary:
Ok, Thanks :)
