alright i skimmed through the manual and i found my music and its jsut scattered in several different places...is it not really scattered or am i looking in the wrong places or what?

2.4.  Running Rockbox

Remove your player from the computer’s USB port. Rebooting the Ipod by holding Menu+Select for a couple of seconds until the player reboots. Now Rockbox should load. When you see the Rockbox splash screen, Rockbox is loaded and ready for use.

Note: Rockbox starts in the File Browser. If you have loaded music onto your player using Itunes, you will not be able to see your music because Itunes changes your files’ names and hides them in directories in the Ipod_Control folder. You can view files placed on your player by Itunes by initialising and using Rockbox’s database. See section 4.2 for more information.

I read the new iPod Installation Beta page, and now that's a more simplified method to install the bootloader, with the new ipodpatcher.

 Just run the ipodpatcher.exe file.

No specific bootloader is required anymore??? Hmmm... Good!

But, my curiosity is:

If I use the new ipodpatcher with the older instructions (ipodpatcher --scan, etc...), they still works?

Yes, all the old features are still in ipodpatcher, but if you run it without any options (the same as double-clicking on it in Windows), it starts in "friendly interactive install mode".

I already tried, just for curiosity, and worked on my iPod 5G 60gb.

Just one more question: To uninstall I have to use the same old method?

1) ipodpatcher --scan

2) ipodpatcher N -d

Just "ipodpatcher -d" will work.

The [device] parameter is now optional - ipodpatcher will perform a --scan automatically, and if exactly one ipod is found, use that.

OK. So now is much more easy to install, than uninstall

For uninstall still is necessary to put ipodpatcher on the correct directory, then run and type cmd

Hi, linuxstb. My tutorial is in Portuguese language (Brazil). That's why.

I think I do the best I can to contribute to Rockbox. I just don't do more cause my english is not enough. Sorry.
