Loading Rockbox.. thats alllll my 30gb ipod says

i just intalled it onto my ipod and i start it, then it just says loading and ive been waitin a while
anyone have any ideas on why? :-[ :-[

its a 30 gb video ipod new, i used the new stepps to install it,
it says,
Rockbox boot loader
version: 20060126-1839
IPOD version: 0xFFFFFFFF
HTC426030G5CE00
No partition found
Partition 1: 0x0B 7130 MB
Loading Rockbox. . .

Is it a windows or a Mac iPod?

And that's an old bootloader. Which steps *exactly* did you follow, and which bootloader file did you download?

umm i dont know how to tell if its a windows or a mac, but i know that its fat32 so i think thats windows, i just followed the steps on the site, could u give me a link to the new bootloader thing? or a link were it will explain to me how to set this up?

The proper instructions are in the manual.

And our forum guidelines prohibit the use of "u" instead of "you". Please follow the rules.

Looks like a Hitachi hard drive too - I thought all iPods used Toshibas ?

Well, if he followed the outdated instructions that are only meant to be used for the Grayscale targets, it would have that bootloader. The .bin ones instead of the .ipod ones.

Of course that page mentions at the top that it's outdated.
