Hardware repair and flash chip info
« on: February 07, 2007, 12:41:48 PM »
I had to open my player to repair the hearphone plug, turns out is was badly soldered in the first place.

ooking at the flash chips, I went looking for ways to up the memory. (mine is 2G)

So chips are not available but I found this link that may help your hardware people to ID the chips: http://www.caprilion.com.tw/Devices.lst

So it seems they are NAND chips.

You are doing a great job!!!

"2G" means "2nd Generation" on these boards. We have no idea what hardware you're talking about right now, though it seems likely you're referring to the iPod Nano, or Sansa e200, with 2 gb capacity.

Please read the forum guidelines in regards to terms we prefer used.
