Problem: H120 freezes while skipping during cross-fading
Struppi:
Hello,
has anyone of you experienced this behaviour?
I'm using a daily build from around end of january 2007 but had this as well with a build from december 2006 on my iRiver H120.
When I press the skip button for the next song while two other songs are cross-fading rockbox freezes and I have to wait till it runs out of power. (that's the most annoying part otherwise I would turn it off and on again)

You can do a hard reset (stick a paperclip into the reset hole on the base) to avoid this part, at least...
I'll test the problem later when my player has recharged :(
Struppi:
OK, I'm asking myself why didn't I remember that. :-[
So that's how to get it quickly up and running again.
If someone confirms the error I'll open an bug report in Flyspry.
bascule:
Doesn't do that for me...
If I skip again whilst cross-fading during a skip, it just jumps direct to the next track.
The best thing you can do is reset settings, set just the cross-fade on again, then test it again.
I recently had some problems with high bitrate oggs skipping that never had that behaviour before. I reset settings and loaded up a known good config and the problem went away. I still don't know what the problem was, but I'm happy!
Struppi:
I did what you suggested.
Now it's working fine. :)
Thank you for your support.
