Messed up ipod, please help
« on: February 05, 2007, 10:13:23 PM »
ok so i usually just use the original firmware for my nano for music and rockbox for games and stuff, and i went to delete all the music on rockbox so i deleted the music folder, now my ipod says "use itunes to restore" so i plugged my ipod back in to restore it to its original settings and opened itunes  and click the restore button, a screen pops up and says: make sure your network settings are correct and your network connection is active.

what is going on?

Sounds like an iTunes problem.

Considering just clicking on a folder, and choosing "delete", cannot cause the problem you describe, I suspect something else has gone wrong.

Either way, Rockbox does not in any way interact with iTunes, so if iTunes is giving you error messages you should probably seek help from Apple.
