iHP120 frozen. Would accept any advice
« on: February 03, 2007, 11:55:10 AM »
I installed RockBox on my ihp120 quite smoothly. Not a complicated process. it was running on my system just fine and I was jumping around through menues looking at features and playing with the playlist controls trying to figure them out for myself.
But then is started to say an error when loading the playlist file but that error didn't seem to happen again when I played with it further. Then... as i opened what I believe was the playlist options at the time the screen simply went blank. And it still sits there blank beside me. The backlighting is on but there is nothing being displayed and I can not seem to turn my player off. The buttons don't create any sort of response what so ever and connecting it to my computer behaves as though nothing has been connected at all. I am somewhat distressed now as I love my player and would really just like to know how to get it to reboot and come back to me.
If anyone can help I will be eternally grateful.

The reset button is at the bottom of the unit next to the USB port.  Insert a paperclip or safety pin into the hole to press the button.

Indeed. Llorean sent me in that direction as well when I talked to him on IRC.
It seems I've actually become rather unfamiliar with what is on the surface of my player. I actually haven't seen the surface in years you see because it hasn't left its leather case.

Anyone thank you guys for your help even though it wasn't really much of a problem at all.
