No Sound

ey, i alredy install the rockbox program, but when i put a song it doesnt sound... i alredy put a video   and watch it on my gigabeat but no sound :S whats the problem plz tell me

Hey, I've already installed Rockbox on my Gigabeat but when I play a song, it doesn't make any sound. I also tried playing a video and it also had no sound.   Anyone know what my problem is? Thanks in advance.

Maybe your earphones are dead, maybe the volume is too low. Did you downloaded the latest build?

my earphones are OK, i hear a sound like shshshshshsshshshshs but very low, i try to listen diferents songs... but its the same, and the video doesnt have sound i dont know why :S what can i do???

Did you try raising the volume? Try the original firmware, if it doesn't work there then it's a hardware problem.

thank u, i alredy try that too and the sound is ok, im still looking for the problem, cuz the original firmware have sound, and rockbox doesnt... if u know anything about that let me know thank u anyway

the sound of the game of doom works, but only in one earphone, but i still cant hear d music and the sound of the videos why!! someone can tell me plz???

Try resetting your settings.

Main Menu -->  Manage Settings --> Reset settings

I have no explanation for your problem, it's very strange indeed. Which version of the Gigabeat firmware is on your Gigabeat? Which model do you have?

Try completely deleting everything rockbox related and reinstalling it.

i dont know what version is :S, i will check it later, and i will try deleting all, and instalin again ty i will tell u if there is a change , its a nice firmware but no sound i like doom where can i get more games like that?

ok... i tried all what u tell to me but its the same thing, on the morning myy gigabeat have sound, but later where the same thing no sound :S the sound comes sometimes, but just a few minutes :S

Strange, maybe you have a really old or really new revision of the Gigabeat where the DSP works differently.
