startup problem?

Hello all,
I recently read about Rockbox, so I decided to give it a try. I followed all steps to get the firmware and bootloader onto my 20GB, iPod photo/color, then disconnected it (as the steps directed). Now it says that Rockbox has loaded, but I don't think the 'splash screen' has shown up. The screen looks like this:

It's been displaying this screen for an hour or so. I'm not sure if this is normal, so I was looking for some feedback.
