Nano is not switching on after RB installation
« on: January 29, 2007, 08:18:01 PM »
Hello!

i installed rockbox on iPod Nano 1 Gb
everything was ok, the rockbox interface started, then it displayed very low battery (before installing it was 100% charge) and switched off.

after that i can not bring ipod to life.
the monitor is black
Window does not detect it as a device.
it seems completely dead.

i left ipod charging for 2 hours but there was no reaction.

please, tell me what can i do, to reinstall or uninstall rockbox.
is it possible or my ipod became broken??

thank you

Plug the iPod into your computer.

Turn on Hold.

Turn off Hold.

Hold down the Menu and Select button for 30 seconds.

Try this 3 or 4 times. iPod Nanos are a little buggy, from a hardware perspective, but it has nothing to do with Rockbox, and you can restart it like this unless you've actually physically broken the player.
