Plz help! Rockbox error: -2

I have deleted rockbox.gigabeat in my F20. Hence when it power on, the screen was displayed "Rockbox error: -2", I couldn't enter the usb mode to reinstall this file.

Also, when I try to recover the original firmware, the screen was displayed
" couldn't open FWIMG01.DAT.ORIG for reading...( the screen can't be displayed more) "

Now, both rockbox and original firmware can't be entered. How can I resolve this problem?

I hope my F20 won't be getting brick.

Hopefully doing one of two processes will fix your problem.  Read the topic entitled "F20 install mishap."

Moderators: This problem and others like it happen often when people don't follow instructions explicitly or mistakenly delete certain files.  (And also don't rename the bootloader to FWxx.dat.orig as stated in the manual and wiki pages.)  Can we have a sticky post with the instructions from a given post?  If I need to copy and post those instructions here, I will.  Just let me know the correct coarse of action.  Thanks.

I appreciate your offer to help compile this information.  We would very much prefer that static information like that be placed on a wiki page, or that it be put into the manual.  We generally disfavor sticky threads.

You can edit the wiki yourself just by signing up and then asking for wiki write permission on the #rockbox irc channel.  If you'd like to make changes to the manual, just submit them to the patch tracker as a patch under category "manual."
