Video iPod 30Gb 5.5G Compatibility

The information on the website is kind of confusing. Some places it says it's compatible some places not (probably because it's hard to do everything and update all the faqs and others)

So is the new iPod Video 30Gb 5.5Gen compatible with RockBox or not?

The 30GB 5.5Gen is completely compatible with Rockbox.

You probably got confused with the 5.5G 80GB iPod Video. It's not supported, but the 5.5G 30GB iPod Video fully supports Rockbox.

I have a 5.5g 30GB iPod and I use a mac and I tried installing rockbox 1.0.1 with loader 2 and the nightly build via a reformat to windows on parallells desktop windows XP and it installs fine I guess but when I reboot my ipod it just boots the apple os and I have tried holding down menu in startup to make it load rockbox but I get nothing can you please help?

There is no "Rockbox 1.0.1" and Loader2 is not our software. Please, follow the installation instructions in the manual.
