Brand of HDD essential to install Rockbox?
« on: January 25, 2007, 03:51:57 PM »
Greetings-
I have a 1st gen iPod mini (4GB). It has a replacement HDD that doesn't have Apple firmware/system installed. My Mac does recognize it as an iPod. I have reformatted it to FAT 32. Can I successfully install Rockbox onto a non-Apple HDD iPod?
Thanks in advance from a new member

Rockbox doesn't even know what type of hard drive you have.  All that matters is that its IDE.
