the error says: this wad does not follow standard doom graphics. and then it shows me a quick flash of the menu with the halflife background

Yup. It doesn't work because it's not formatted properly.

so thats just the game that is messed up.

The PWAD is designed for a modified version of Doom that allows oversized title graphics.

markshelfer:
do you know where i can get that?
