I mean real conditionals.  If/then/else.  case.  And it should work for everything, not just those that support what we have now.

I won't muddy this with examples, but imagine a volume bar that grows logarithmically instead of geometrically.

Llorean:
Couldn't you create a logarithmically growing one just by using properly sized bitmaps?
