A Few Questions
« on: January 24, 2007, 12:26:41 AM »
(I have searched for these questions and I couldn't find any that were the same)
(I also have have installed rockbox and some templates and they work fine)

Question 1: How do you access videos/games/pictures/podcasts? All that works for me is music.

Question 2: Is there a way to turn off Rockbox and back on with the iPod?

Question 3: Not all my music is showing up. I think its just the locked songs(that I have purchased). Know anything about this?

-Thanks

1.  For games and pictures, read Chapter 8 of the Rockbox Manual.  For videos, read this wiki page:  http://www.rockbox.org/twiki/bin/view/Main/WebHome?topic=PluginMpegplayer

2.  For booting the original firmware, read section 3.1.2 of the Rockbox Manual.

3.  Rockbox will not playing DRM-protected content (i.e., purchased songs).

Well,

1. I have movies I want to put on, that i have from iTunes

2. I don't want to turn off the iPod, i want to be able to turn off rockbox and use the basic iPod. I did it my accident once. The normal one just popped up.

Also, when running Doom. once i find the file in the database and click on doom the other 2 wad. files are in there(i read the tut and installed them in the right place) but once in there I try to click on say, "Doom1.wad" and it won't let me click on it

3. I see. What about games you have boughten?

1. You'll have to view them using the ipod firmware, unless you can find a way to un-protect them and turn them into something Rockbox can read

2. Read past the 3rd line starting "Rockbox has a dual boot feature..." ;)

3. For games, if you have purchased them from itunes, i think you have to play them using the original ipod firmware
