Rockbox stopping iPod charging?

Hi, well I got my iPod, woohoo! All I have to do now is charge it.  I left it charging overnight after I installed Rockbox and all my music. When I woke up it was on the Apple firmware charging, and when I turned it on it was still on hardly any power. This wouldn't be something to do with Rockbox would it?
