Hi;

  I had despaired of ever finding a digital mp3 player that could actually play tracks in order, transition between folders and play mp3 files without converting them to some oddball proprietary  format. I didn't want to move my music into a black hole where it could never be retrieved.

  I kept on trying different players, all from corporations one worse than the other and returning to my Riovolt mp3 cd player or Iriver ChromeX, which actually follow track order,

  I picked up a used Toshiba Gigabeat F40 yesterday and was delighted to discover Rockbox. I downloaded the firmware and the pdf today and I have a great deal of my music and spoken word ready to go.

  I'm still sturggling with the slider interface and ended up with Afrcance and then Chinese, with no Chinese fonts, as the default languages but I'm learning.

  I'm so happy to see an open source interface and will try to contribute to the forums.
