You could search before posting, as our guidelines ask you to do. Being new is hardly an excuse for ignoring the rules that you agreed to while signing up. You did read before clicking that you agreed, right?

The answer is No. It has been answered many times.

The rules you agreed to also involved the use of proper words, not srry or ill or nvr.  This is important for those of different languages using machine translation and those who are blind using screen readers. Also, even for those of us with English as a first language who are not blind, trying to decipher writing with nonsensical abbreviations and no punctuation is horrible.

I am new here also, and I also have a 2 GB nano but I believe that I have the first version of of it. What I would like to know is how can I truly know that mine is from the first generations of nanos. My nano is 2 GB, it is Black and I believe Chrome on the back. It is not the new "Remastered"  version of the Nano.

I would also like to know what version of Rock box I should download for my nano (if it is compatible). I believe there is no current release or stable releases of rock box for the nano, so should I download the SVN build? If so then should I download the latest or the oldest build? Is there anything else I should know that I might miss that is important?

Thankful for all support.

Check the pictures here:

If you're still not sure, www.Apple.com/ipod and see if yours is the new Nano.

Use the newest SVN build.  There area also custom builds with additional stuff enabled, but they're not always stable, and probably not the best idea if you're still figuring out how this works.
