problem with the HD300 series
« on: January 21, 2007, 10:25:00 AM »
Hello folks,

I have a very big problem with my HD340 (40gb). He crashes during the lisening. This is happens in unregular time periods.
I've tried it without the rockbox but that is the same as before with the Rockbox. So could anyone tell me what the problem is and how I can fix it?

And my 2nd question is. Has anyone a good program make vids in the HD300 series avi settings? Becouse I wanna watch some movies on my HD340 but I dont have a good programm witch can adjust the settings of the movies so that the player can play it.

Thank you for now.
Best wishes
Sebastian

First issue:
What happens? Does it just shut down at a random time? Do you hear the HDD click and shut down? If so, you battery is dying. You need to replace the battery soon. See, the player is trying to draw more power from the battery than the battery can output, and hence it shuts down.

Second issue:
Use Iriverter. Simply select the device that you want, select your input file, and your output file, and hit convert. Voila, it is as easy as that. You do however need .NET framework 2.0 for Windows for it to run.
