Problem with skins
« on: January 20, 2007, 08:36:58 AM »
I've got a little problem with all the skins I've tried...

See by yourself: there are numbers in front of the names (artist, album, title, track) and the "next track" is badly placed.

What is the problem ? My mp3s are badly tagged ?

( I use the last rockbox version I've found for my 5.5G Video iPod )

its most probably because you are trying to use a WPS that requires some patches which are not in the official build. (moved to the correct forum for you)

Using PMs to annoy devs about bugs/patches is not a good way to have the issue looked at.

Those numbers are the syntax used by the scrolling-margins patch (which the build you're missing obviously doesn't have). You can compile your own build with the patch, or use a precompiled unsupported build with the patch.

After a small search (which wasnt easy, I dont speak English fluently) I indeed found that it was necessary to patch rockbox...

But with all that I read, I do not still manage to patch.

I am thus going to content myself of "simpler" skin =)

Thank you all the same.

The other alternative is to use a pre-patched build.  This forum contains builds that are already patched:

I thought of these pre-patched versions, but I had hoped to be able to patch myself the basic version.

Finally I adopted the version of senab, it is very well convenient for me :)

Thank you for your help.
