Did you even attempt to follow the instructions in the manual or did you just ignore my last post?  The instructions in the Rockbox Manual explain EXACTLY what you need to do.

1.  Go here:  http://www.rockbox.org/manual.shtml

2.  Pick the manual for your player.

3.  Read section 2.2.3.

I know you're only trying to be helpful fugot, but if he ends up using the link you've posted, and then runs into further problems down the line - no-one here can help him, since he's not used the official install process. So could you please stop directing new users to it ?

you dont have to install linux. but it is an option. if you choose not to select that packege it does not install linux.

What does installing linux have to do with what GodEater said?
