Follow the instructions in the Rockbox Manual, rather than on the wiki.  They explain that step in even greater detail.

Did you even attempt to follow the instructions in the manual or did you just ignore my last post?  The instructions in the Rockbox Manual explain EXACTLY what you need to do.

1.  Go here:  http://www.rockbox.org/manual.shtml

2.  Pick the manual for your player.

3.  Read section 2.2.3.

you dont have to install linux. but it is an option. if you choose not to select that packege it does not install linux.

Yes, but whether or not he installs Linux, if he uses the link you've posted he's using an unsupported method for installing the Rockbox bootloader. The key being, unsupported.
