Can't boot into Rockbox anymore?!
(1/1)
rodbac:
I hate asking noob questions, but I'm stumped and search left me empty handed.
I've had an earlier build of RB installed for a few months and have been using it happily.
Today, I installed a new build and my Pod (iPod Video) booted into the original firmware.
Puzzled, I held the reboot combo (Menu+select) but the same thing happens: see the Apple logo come up, then it boots into Apple's firmware.
So I came home, uninstalled and reinstalled everything and tried again. It booted into Rockbox, then after a restart with a new update from Apple (I think that's why I had to reboot), it will only boot into Apple's fw.
No holding buttons or anything gets me to Rockbox.
What in the heck am I doing wrong here? Don't spare the harsh criticism if it's warranted- I can take it.
Thanks for any help... -R
Llorean:
When Apple updates, it destroys the Rockbox bootloader. After an Apple update you MUST reinstall it, or Rockbox will never load.

You guys are the greatest. Thank you- that of course solved the problem.
