Problem creating an "installation folder"

(1/2) > >>

myuu:
I've searched the forums and even used common sense to try and make the installation folder "\rockbox" in the C drive but still no luck. Can anyone give me the instructions?

I "windows key+ e" and then double clicked the hard disk and then made the folder but I cannot use "\" in the name of the folder. The root are the first three files aren't they?

Also I'm just reading the manual for the releases and not, http://www.rockbox.org/twiki/bin/view/Main/IpodInstallationBeta because I'm trying to put rockbox on a 2g iPod mini.

Llorean:
The \Rockbox folder means the folder is named "Rockbox" in "\" which means the root, so C:\Rockbox. You don't need to put the \ in the name.

Oh thank you! I only realized that after posting! Now I've gotten to the part where I made a back up and that was successful but when trying to install the bootloader I get this error,

Llorean:
bootloader-ipodmini.ipod isn't in C:\Rockbox\ then, is it?

myuu:
It is, but it's really bootloader-ipodmini2g.ipod, so in the command prompt I just added 2g and I'm still getting errors
