ipod won't turn off

I've had this problem twixe now with rockbox. My 1st gen nano won't turn off no matter what I press. It has a blank screen with the message "data abort 00000006." The last time this happened I was trying to fix it for about an hour when one time i randomly tried to turn it off and it worked. It continued to function normaly after that until now. If you know what might be causing this glitch or how to fix it let me know.

Press and hold Menu + Select to reboot.
