Question about loading? plz help

yeah, i followed instructions and when rockbox trys 2 load it has a white screen  that says"no partition found"

what does this mean?

and also how can u swich back and forth 2 the normal ware? the menu thing is not working it keeps rebooting.

1) Please follow our rules concerning using real words rather than "u" and "2".
2) Please post the exact error message you're getting.
3) What menu? The Rockbox bootloader does not use a menu. If you're using Loader2 you should be asking for help in their forums.

well ok sorry this is like my first post.

and i just have a white screen that says loading rockbox....

or i can reboot it and hold the menu and it says"loading original firmware",then reboots again.

this one was the most helpful, thank you though but i now have it in diskmode and will re-install it.

I suggest following the instructions in the Rockbox Manual.  The ones in the link you provided are very much out of date.

But first, put the bootpartition.bin you have (112MB approximate) back to your iPod. or maybe you'll have to do a Restore before installing now. I'm not shure.

If you have no problem erasing all data of your iPod, so do a Restore and then try the new correct installation.

But if you want to keep the data on your iPod, you'll have to do the unninstalling process.


       ipodpatcher N -w bootpartition.bin (new ipodpatcher)

       ipodpatcher -w N bootpartition.bin (old ipodpatcher)

Download the ipodpatcher and try, but you may have the bootpartition.bin and ipodpatcher.exe in the same folder on you PC.

It's very easy, but my english is not enough to explain, so read the instructions and try.
