New user, problem with LCD when playing a song. Ipod 30G
ruizal01:
Hi guys,
I downloades Rockbox last week and I was very happy until the LCD changed. My Ipod is a 30 G and now when I play a song instead of the name of the song and the author and below the two sound colummns (right and left) I get a messy screen with mixed letters, etc. Anybody knows what to do?
Febs:
1. I'm assuming that you mean that you have the 30 GB iPod video. Is that right?
2. Which build of Rockbox are you using?
3. Which theme are you using. I have no idea what you mean by "the two sound columns."
My guess is that you are using a theme that requires patches that are not included in the standard Rockbox build. Try a different theme.
ruizal01:
Yes, I'm using the 30 GB Ipod
I'm using Rockbox 20070119 updated today.
When I started using Rockbox, when playing a song the LCD showed on top the battery, below the name of the disk, singer, etc and then two bars like an equalizer representing the sound in the left ear and the sound in the right ear. At the bottom used to appear the bit rate and the lenght of the song.
Two days ago something happened and everything is mixed!! I deleted rockbox and reinstalled the program but did not see any improvement.
Any suggestion?

The two columns you are saying are called "peakemters". Stay away from themes with peakmeters, they cause skips on music. You are using the Rockbox Default theme.
Try imediatelly now, the iCatcher theme, in "Browse Themes".
Then, go to the WPS gallery and download any theme you like.

But first of all. extract the firmware again on your ipod root, overwriting the existing ones. Â And RESET ALL SETTINGS. Just a question: Don't you forgot to install the fonts?
