Ipod nano 2nd gen - why is rockbox incompatible?

hi there :)

a couple of days ago i've got an ipod nano :D - but to mu big disaster it was a 2nd gen, meaning rockbox is incompatible with it  :'(  ('cause i want Ogg Vorbis playback)

so now is the big question. what makes rockbox incompatible with the 2nd gen?
i might be able to contibute with getting rockbox running on the 2nd gen, but i need some foundation information about the problem.


(sorry if its sounds as a n00b question/thread, i'm new here in the forum...)

Just as a note, please search the forums *before* asking questions. There's a thread on the 2nd generation Nano in the New Ports forum already discussing several of the hurdles.
