rebooting

My 4thgen greyscale won't stop rebooting after getting an error -1 message.  It shows the apple, then the rockbox boot loader, then back to the apple and so forth.  I plug it into the wall charger, no charging, into my PC, and it doesn't register.  I've tried going into disk mode but nothing happens, I got tired after an hours worth of trying.

If you switch the Hold switch, that should load the original Apple OS. This way you can charge and connect the iPod to the computer. Did you actually install Rockbox? Usually error -1 means that you had not installed the OS in the first place.
