CAn't get command prompt to display anything but docs and settings.
I am Jacks frustration.:
I need help, big time. I have command prompt up but all its displaying is C:\Documents and Settings\Owner> and when I punch in ipodpatcher --scan it displays 'ipodpatcher' is not a recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.
please help!
Llorean:
You need to change directories to where you've saved ipodpatcher.exe. It tells you that you need to change directories in the instructions. You use the CD command for this.

ok I know this is just begging now but cd what? the last time I had to use command lines was DOS to run "Doom" and that was quite a few years ago, I named the the folder RockBox in my C: directory but when I tried to switch using the little memory or my DOS days its saying the directory is incorrect.
Llorean:
You could try doing a little research, say a command line tutorial.
cd .. goes up a level, cd foldername goes into that folder. That should be more than enough information even without a tutorial.
linuxstb:
--- Code: ---cd \rockbox
ipodpatcher --scan
ipodpatcher N bootloader-ipod?????.ipod
--- End code ---
Replacing N in the last line with the number displayed at the end of the last line of the ipodpatcher --scan output, and replacing ????? with the type of ipod you have - so the filename matches the bootloader you downloaded.
