Compiling Bootloader

(1/1)

tdtooke:
I'm getting the error:
Make: *** ../rockbox/bootloader : No such file or directory
when I try to compile a bootloader.  I noticed also that the wiki seems to think that should be in my source files also since it said create a build directory in the directory that contains: tools, firmware, bootloader..etc.  I downloaded the daily source and it does not contain that directory.  Thoughts?

Llorean:
The bootloader directory isn't included in the daily source. The daily source is there for creating regular builds. In general you shouldn't be compiling your own bootloader, so its sources are currently only in the SVN checkout.

tdtooke:
Ok, to SVN I go.  I need to compile a bootloader because that is the only way you're truly able to use the kernel_on_cop patch with everything being from the current source.  I'm a big fan of patching so I'm always compiling something.

Llorean:
The newest official bootloader works fine with the Kernel_on_Cop_6.diff. I've said this many times, in many places.

tdtooke:
I guess I just keep missing you then :(  The impression I got over at the flyspray thingee for that patch was you had to compile a bootloader because the patch did something with the bootloader to implement the cop thing.  I did only breeze through reading that though so I could very well be wrong.
