Problems with recent iPod Color/Photo Builds

Llorean:
The iPod Photo has long been somewhat buggy. Have you tried compiling a build with frequency scaling disabled?

Mikeage compiles new builds almost daily that take care of the frequency scaling issue (or at least has it disabled).  Once I started using his builds, I haven't had a single crash on my 60gig photo since.  Go to this site:
http://mikeage.net/content/rockbox/index.php

and you'll want the color-noscaling.zip's for whatever daily build you want to install.  I honestly haven't updated my build since December 28th, but as I stated, I've never had an issue once I started using Mike's builds, and that was months ago.

I'll definitely take a look; I have used this version before, but it seemed odd to me that Rockbox would crash before it even loaded. I'll see if I have any better results and report back. Thanks!

Edit: It seems Frequency Scaling had been the issue; interesting, because it hadn't plagued me to such a degree with earlier builds, but it's good to know it is a cause for many of the issues. Thanks again.

I was having the exact same problem....the solution was to install a build from mikeage.com....More specifically, I'm using http://mikeage.net/content/rockbox/rockbox-20070107-color-cpufreq3.zip

Anyone try to download the Mikeage files today? 404 errors.
