but three people with the same type of ipod and the same type of problem in a matter of days???
this doesn't give you any incentive?
Llorean:
Considering that Rockbox is unreleased, in-development software, people downloading the 'Current Build' should be expecting, and in fact, looking forward to bugs so that they may help us isolate and identify the causes and further contribute to the improvement of Rockbox.
Would the warning be phrased something like "Attention users: Rockbox is currently more unstable than expected on a very small number of iPods, so we need you all to download these builds and perform extensive testing!"

i'm sorry if i sound stupid but now my ipod is gone. my dad is never going to buy me a new one especially when he learns how i managed to destroy it. i'm sure your programs great and and i was one of the .001% bracket that gets their ipod destroyed, but oh well it works for most people. i am thankful for those of you who actually tried to help instead of just mocking me or saying w/e i don't care. it says it's dangerous and you did it anyway so your just SOL. maybe you should try to find out how this happened or do something to prevent it. its gone, and its all my fault.

Look - we're not mocking you, and I can't see anyone that's said they don't care. I can virtually guarantee that your ipod is NOT dead, but you DO need to try the things we've said, and not just keep saying that they don't work and that your ipod won't work anymore.

what do you want me to do. its been on the charger for three days. its black. no manual restarts work. disk mode didn't work like it ALWAYS does. i've tried every usb socket on my comp and it gets nothing. i used to be able to hear something in my ipod sort of humming but its gone now. what do you want from me. when i get to saying the truth that its really dead you say that that was a risk. and when i say i accept that fact and blame myself you say that its still alive and i'm just not doing it right, or not following what your saying, or not trying all the options.
