I downloaded rockbox and extracted it from desktop (but chose final extraction path as the main ipod folder) and so appears a folder called .rockbox in the ipod folder in C drive.
Quote from: Gruffalo on March 31, 2007, 09:13:10 AMI downloaded rockbox and extracted it from desktop (but chose final extraction path as the main ipod folder) and so appears a folder called .rockbox in the ipod folder in C drive. You need to extract that folder to the iPod itself. So if your ipod is drive f:, extract the contents of the .zip file to f:\. You will end up with a folder on the iPod called f:\.rockbox.It sounds like you have extracted the contents of the .zip file to your hard drive rather than to your iPod.
Rockbox Error -1: or Can't load rockbox.ipod:File not foundYou didn't read the manual properly.Use winzip, or some other "unzip" program to extract the .zip file you downloaded from rockbox.org to your iPod. If your iPod connects to your PC as the "F:" drive, then unzip the file into "F:\"
So when I push "hold" on my ipod I get that error, I readed the guide like 20 times at least, I got a ipod video 5G 30gig, can someone help me out because it just doesn't work, can't loard rockbox.ipod... where is that file at anyways?

It's a switch that's either on or off? And why are you even touching it in the first place ?
