I *think* that they'll be fixing a few of the inaccuracies for the online version of the article. I've gotten in contact with someone, though I don't know what the final version will look like, he did seem interested in making some improvements.

Do they even try to contact someone from a project before they write an article on it.  How come you guys make so many steps to install Rockbox, like flashing the firmware and stuff, when they can do it just by copying some files...  JK, they really should ask a rep. from something before they make an (inaccurate)article on it.

Maybe adding a media contact link to the main page would be a good idea.  Something that encourages journalists to contact us before they start writing.

Pop Sci is actually where I found RockBox.  I'm glad they wrote it up, it makes my iRiver that much cooler :D

Popular Sience did get me to purchase my "Archos Recorder 20" years ago when the said it was the "King of MP3" players.  But that was years ago.  And so you could say that PopSci indirectly got me into rockbox!

I'm not sure if I understand this correctly.
Installing Rockbox is that complicated because it isn't done by simply copying a bunch of files. We don't make it complicated just for fun but for a reason. And "they" can't make it simpler :o

You don't.   ;)

included "JK" as in Just Kidding.  His abbreviations and sarcasm don't translate well for non-native speakers...
Which is why full English words (and attempts at decent spelling and grammar) are required on the forum!

I'm a native English speaker, and it took me many reads before I got it!  JK isn't a standard abbreviation :)

I'd argue that it's fairly standard among certain crowds, but standard or not, other than the abbreviations we've listed in the posting guidelines, pretty much everything is unacceptable here. Though some things may slip by from time to time (we are human, and all).

I am sorry for my failure of posting, I thought it was a standard abbreviation.  I will never post an abbreviation again, sorry for the confusion.
