please help a newbie installation problems

hi im a newbie. i keep on getting a message called error opening disk the system cannto find the file specified. i cant get past the step 7 on the guide for installation, Create a backup of your ipod’s firmware partition. So would anyone be kind as to helping me thanks alot. please help

It sounds like you either didn't download the necessary files, or you are trying to run them from a directory other than the directory to which you downloaded them.  However, we can't help much unless you give us more information about the exact error you're getting and what you did to get it.
